Yea! And now I can’t have kids! So hardy har fuck you!
This happened to me recently. One of the mom’s I work for asked if working for my agency (a babysitting agency) made me not want my own kids. When I told her that I love kids but I’ve never really been interested in having my own, she looked at me and told me, “Oh, that’ll change when you fall in love.” Sorry to burst your bubble dear, but no, that won’t change when I “fall in love” because truly, I DO NOT WANT MY OWN CHILDREN. My favorite part of working with kids is that I get to play games and color with them, but then I GET TO GIVE THEM BACK at the end of the day/night, and that makes me ecstatic.
Moral of this story is: Don’t tell me what I will and won’t do, I will do as I please. I already have a niece that I adore and a nephew on the way. That’s more than enough kids in my life forever for me.
